Tuesday’s 2-0 Champions League defeat at Olympiacos left Manchester United boss David Moyes at rock bottom and even some of the Scot’s more loyal supporters are now calling for his head.

But, despite a dismal season which could yet get worse, we think Moyes should remain in charge at Old Trafford until at least the summer.
Here are five reasons United shouldn’t sack the Scot:
5. History says Moyes should be given a chance
It’s not the Manchester United way to sack the manager after just 10 months – simple as that! Fergie struggled when he first arrived at Old Trafford, with sections of the fan-base calling for his head, but the board backed him and the rest is history; United’s faith in him paid off. Sir Matt Busby also spent a similar length of time at the club, while even United’s shortest serving bosses of the past century, Frank O’Farrell and Wilf McGuinness, were both given 18 months. United should give Moyes until the summer, at least, before pulling the trigger.
