Podolski has evolved in the eyes many from deadly striker to Emmanuel Eboue tribute act and current fan favourite and whilst it may look like a slightly insulting role to suggest, Podolski seemed to have taken it on as chief morale booster at the Emirates.
His ability to rouse his teammates and be almost the court jester for the Gunners will surely be one his teammates will miss once he signs in Italy.
