Wenger’s tactical inflexibility
Despite being one of the most important and innovative managers of all time, certainly in the English game, Wenger has displayed a stubbornness and tactical inflexibility in recent seasons. This persistence with a 4-2-3-1 system, without two natural defensive midfielders, has contributed to some of the thrashings that they have received at the hands of their title rivals in recent systems. Wenger must look to improve the way that his team approach these matches before they are likely to be considered as genuine title contenders.
