2. Inconsistent against small sides
Chelsea’s problems last term didn’t come against their peers, it came against the division’s smaller sides.
Where the club steamrolled over the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool, they dropped 22 points against a host of ‘smaller’ sides such as Aston Villa, WBA, Norwich, Stoke, Sunderland, Newcastle and Crystal Palace.
If motivation against smaller sides is going to be a problem when competing on four fronts then the club will quickly hit a brick wall that they may not bounce back from.
