2. Stats
Stats are not everything when it comes to basketball, but they hardly ever lie, especially when otherworldly stats are possessed by someone like James. 35.8 points, 13.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game are impossible to ignore and not be impressed by.
Another significant stat that many fans will overlook is how many minutes per game James played. He was on the court for 45.8 minutes per game. In case you forgot, an NBA game goes for 48 minutes and James played for 50 in a Game 2 overtime win. 45.8 minutes per game is exactly the same amount as the all-time NBA record in a single season, held by Wilt Chamberlain.
We will never know whether the Cavaliers could have overcome the Warriors with Irving and Love healthy, but there is no doubt that James would have had much more rest and had a better field goal percentage, which has also been panned.
