1. Championship pedigree
James may not be as good as Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant when it comes to winning championships, but if fans can put aside these comparisons among the all-time greats, they may be able to appreciate the fact that James is a champion himself.
A 2-4 NBA Finals record may not be ideal, and it certainly isn’t for the Cavaliers star. Winning two championships is not easy to attain though, and many all-time great NBA players have not even won that many in their career, such as Karl Malone and Charles Barkley. Making six trips to the NBA Finals is no small feat either, even if it is in the Eastern Conference. Making five in a row is even more impressive too.
To those who think James would have a harder time in the Western Conference, remember that he has been able to elevate the play of teams like the Heat and Cavaliers, who have each looked lost without him.
Imagine if he joined a team like the Rockets, Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers or Memphis Grizzlies. Even if he joined a less talented team like the Phoenix Suns, they would easily be a playoff team and maybe even title contender.
