NBA Finals 2015: Five things to know about Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers
The Warriors are led by MVP Stephen Curry, and the Cavaliers are led by LeBron James, who many still consider to be the best player in the NBA.
This has been a long-anticipated matchup even before the teams made it to the Finals, and they both lived up to their status as favorites.
They have not made it here without adversity though, as Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson suffered a concussion in the Western Conference Finals.
Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love suffered a season-ending shoulder injury while point guard Kyrie Irving has played through a knee injury.
Here are five reasons why the Warriors will win the NBA title.
5. Defense
The Warriors may be known as an offensive team, and for good reason. However, their defense is nothing to ignore either as the Warriors rank first in defensive efficiency rating, and they have two scary defensive weapons in power forward Draymond Green and center Andrew Bogut.
Green finished second in the Defensive Player of the Year voting, and he is sure to use that as motivation as he looks to shut down the Cavaliers.
