The Seattle Seahawks had a fantastic Super Bowl championship season, but it’s inevitable that they will not pull off a repeat.
The Seattle Seahawks are coming off one of the most dominant Super Bowl wins in history, and their defense will go down as one of the greatest units of all time.
Quarterback Russell Wilson also put together a great season and showed outstanding leadership of his team, but the Seahawks can only go down from their championship season.
Here are five reasons why there will be a new Super Bowl champion in the 2014 season.
5. Repeating never happens anymore in the NFL
It’s just too difficult to repeat in the NFL, especially today. There has never been a repeat Super Bowl champion since the 2004 New England Patriots, and a lot can change in just one year in the NFL.
4. Teams will be after them
When a team wins the Super Bowl, it is inevitable that every other team will focus in on them and do everything they can to beat them. This Seahawks team will be no different, and this may even more of a problem for them since cornerback Richard Sherman has became infamous for his trash talking. Opposing teams, especially the San Francisco 49ers, will want to put the Seahawks in their place.
