3. Things can only get better
The Redskins finishing 3-13 was the worst-case scenario. Griffin did not make a speedy recovery as he hoped, and the defense and offensive line took steps back. The team also became divided when Griffin visibly showed his frustration with the team. With a new coach and new players arriving, the Redskins can only improve.
2. Better receivers
DeSean Jackson obviously provides an upgrade at wide receiver, which Griffin needed. Pierre Garcon was the only reliable weapon he had to throw to, which is a reason why he led the NFL in catches with 113. Jackson will mesh perfectly with Griffin and bring an explosive presence to the offense. Andre Roberts will also be a solid third receiver for the Redskins, and he will play with the best quarterback he has ever played with throughout his career. Tight end Jordan Reed is bound to break out in his second year after playing only nine games in his rookie season. He was placed on injured reserve due to a concussion. The ex-Florida Gator caught 45 passes for 499 yards in limited action, so more familiarity with the offense and more playing time virtually guarantees an uptick in his stats. Having two quality starting receivers to take attention off him doesn’t hurt either.
