4) Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid & Argentina)
A well-established name by now for sure, but Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria has arguably just had the best season of his career at club level, registering a highly impressive record of 11 goals and 26 assists in all competitions to help the Spanish giants to glory in the Champions League and the Copa del Rey. Although Di Maria has not quite hit his best form for Argentina at the World Cup yet, he remains a valuable asset to the side and will surely improve as the competition goes on.
Despite his displays for Real in 2013/14, it is thought that a bid of around £40m could see the former Benfica man leave the Bernabeu, in what potentially looks a bargain deal given his recent record. Arsenal and Manchester City are among his biggest admirers, and there’s no doubt Di Maria would only enhance the entertainment quality of the Premier League even further if he makes the move to English football.
