2. Appoint a technical director
Andre Villas-Boas has spoken of his desire for the club to appoint a technical director, with Roma’s Franco Baldini the most likely candidate for the job.
Chairman Daniel Levy is a big fan of the continental set-up, but abandoned it after the farcical reign of Juande Ramos.
But with Villas-Boas onside, there are signs the set-up could bare fruit at White Hart Lane this time round. For all his tactical nous, 35-year-old Villas-Boas remains inexperienced at the top level and a more experienced man could better persuade Levy to open his wallet and spend on much needed reinforcements.
