The forwards that are on Wenger’s wishlist.
It is set to be a busy summer at Arsenal as they prepare for the new season following what was eventually a positive 2013/14 for the club.
Despite topping the Premier League for more days than any other side Arsene Wenger’s team finished fourth once more – but they did end what was approaching a nine year trophy drought by winning the FA Cup.
Qualification for the Champions League for the 17th consecutive year was also welcomed and now only holders Real Madrid have been in the competition for more successive campaigns.
However, despite all this improvement of the squad at the Emirates Stadium is vital and after admitting Olivier Giroud needs more support in attack, a new striker is a priority for Wenger.
Here are five forwards the Gunners are likely to sign this summer.
Karim Benzema, Real Madrid
May as well start with arguably the biggest and certainly the most potentially expensive name on the list in Madrid ace Benzema.
Amazingly Los Blancos have allowed the France international to approach the final year of his current contract at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and therefore his price-tag will be lowered.
Whether or not the north Londoners can sign the 26-year-old also depends on if the Spanish giants can complete their long-term pursuit of Liverpool star Luis Suarez.
