Some options for the attacking support the Gunners desperately need.
It’s been a great start to the 2013/14 season for Arsenal after seven wins in nine Premier League matches leaves the club top of the table.
However, a couple of wobbles of late means the Gunners shouldn’t get too comfortable and an area they could really struggle in is attack – as any injury to Olivier Giroud would leave the north London side very weak up-front.
Here are five realistic options for Arsene Wenger in the January transfer window.
Stephan El Shaarawy
The AC Milan youngster was the club’s top-scorer last term and yet is now in the shadows of outspoken striker Mario Balotelli at the San Siro.
With the ability to play through the middle or on either wing El Shaarawy would certainly bring versatility to Wenger’s side and with the forward somewhat sidelined at Milan currently, could well be open to a move away.
Likely cost: £26m.
