The Reds are on the hunt for recruitment in attack.
Despite the disappointment of just missing out on the Premier League title in 2013/14 it was still a hugely impressive season for Liverpool.
Brendan Rodgers guided the Reds to second place in the English top tier and therefore a return to Champions League football for the first time in five years.
However, the Northern Irishman achieved this with a much more minimal squad then the Merseysiders’ rivals and therefore it needs to be strengthened over the summer.
An area that the club are looking to improve is in attack, as despite how good the striking partnership of Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez – dubbed ‘SAS’ – were, beyond that things look a little bleak.
So here are five forwards Rodgers is looking to sign.
Karim Benzema, Real Madrid
Let’s start as we mean to go on with a superstar striker that would probably set the club back a tidy sum in the transfer market.
However, somewhat bizarrely Madrid have allowed Benzema to approach the last year of his current contract and therefore may be forced to let the Frenchman leave for a cheaper price.
