3. Jordan Matthews will be a significant contributor to Eagles offense
Matthews redeemed himself from his preseason debut where he dropped three passes by catching all nine passes thrown to him for 114 yards. Jeremy Maclin and Riley Cooper are on track to start at wide receiver, but Matthews may steal a starting job from one of them if he continues to perform well enough. At worst, he will be a quality slot receiver for the Eagles.
2. Ryan Griffin may be Saints quarterback of the future
Griffin continued to shine for the Saints in preseason action, throwing for 179 yards and two touchdowns on 13-for-19 passing. The Saints offense has not missed a beat despite never playing Drew Brees so far in the preseason, and Griffin looks like he may be a potential future starter for the Saints if he continues to be groomed under Brees.
