2. Don’t sleep on Aaron Rodgers as an MVP candidate
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are the frontrunners to win MVP, but the Packers quarterback showed that he is also a serious MVP candidate when healthy. After struggling against the New Orleans Saints with a hamstring injury, Rodgers threw six touchdown passes against the Chicago Bears to lead a 55-14 rout.
What makes this even more astounding is that all of these touchdown passes were thrown in the first half. Rodgers now has 25 touchdown passes with just three interceptions, and his passer rating is a league-leading 120.3. The Packers are still a game behind the Detroit Lions in the NFC North, but Rodgers is an MVP frontrunner regardless.
