1. The Green Bay Packers are the best team in the NFC
The Packers won their third game in a row on the road against the Minnesota Vikings to improve to 8-3, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers performed solidly although the Vikings defense put together a respectable performance against him. The Arizona Cardinals are still tied for the best record in the NFL, but they have Drew Stanton in at quarterback. Their defense has proven to be beatable as well judging by their 41-20 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Rodgers is one of the few quarterbacks in the NFL who can dissect the Cardinals defense, and he can easily overtake Stanton in a shootout. Plus, the Packers are no longer relying solely on Rodgers’ play like the past three seasons. Rodgers did not play up to his lofty standards against the Vikings, but running back Eddie Lacy came through with 125 rushing yards and two all-purpose touchdowns. The bruising running back is making the Packers offense two-dimensional for the first time in years. The defense has also come on strong this season aside from allowing 44 points to the New Orleans Saints. Holding the Philadelphia Eagles offense to 20 points is a great sign, but the Patriots will be the ultimate test for the Packers.
