4. The San Diego Chargers are still a dangerous team and a playoff threat
The Chargers have won their third game in a row after a three-game skid, and quarterback Philip Rivers showed that he is still one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL when he threw three touchdowns, including the game winner with 38 seconds remaining. Rivers is not likely going to win MVP like some fans thought early on, but he is still the same quarterback who makes the Chargers a playoff contender.
The Chargers were thought to be out of the playoff picture for the past couple of weeks, but they are back in it with an 8-4 record. Wide receiver Keenan Allen returned to form with 11 catches for 121 yards and two touchdowns, and running back Ryan Mathews returning greatly helps the offense. However, the upcoming schedule for the Chargers is extremely challenging with the New England Patriots, Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers on the horizon.
