1. None of the NFC South teams deserve to be in the playoffs
The fact that every NFC South team has a losing record is mind-blowing considering that a division champion gets to make the playoffs no matter how weak their division is. The best record of the champion is 5-8 unless the Atlanta Falcons somehow manage to upset the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, which has not been done this season. The New Orleans Saints are no longer a difficult team to beat at home as the Carolina Panthers demolished them, 41-10.
This gives the Panthers a chance to steal the division title, and the Buccaneers have just been eliminated from playoff contention in Week 14 despite being arguably the worst team in the NFL. The No. 4 seed in the NFC may be even more controversial this season than it was when the Seattle Seahawks received it with a 7-9 record in 2010. It’s also inevitable that a team like the Dallas Cowboys will be snubbed from the playoffs despite holding a 10-6 record.
