3. Don’t sleep on the Denver Broncos defense
The Broncos have been known for their offense, which has been led by future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning for the last three seasons. The offense has not performed up to their 2013 level, but it has remained one of the best units in the NFL. The Broncos offense has looked somewhat sluggish in the last three games though.
After a shaky second half in a win against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Broncos have not scored more than 24 points in their last two games. Manning has just one touchdown pass in his last two games, and running back C.J. Anderson has taken the reins on offense. However, the defense has stepped up big as they have held their last three opponents to 17 points or less. This is a good sign for them heading into the playoffs, and them being overshadowed by teams such as the Patriots may be beneficial as they make another run toward a Super Bowl.
