1. Tony Romo is a legitimate MVP candidate
Yes, Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray is having a fantastic season. However, Romo is being overlooked as an MVP candidate despite having the best season of his career and continuing to post lofty numbers. The quarterback put on a clinic against the Philadelphia Eagles with three touchdown passes while Murray was held to 81 rushing yards on 31 carries.
Romo has 28 touchdown passes with just eight interceptions for a 110.4 passer rating, which ranks second in the NFL. This puts Romo on pace to have over 30 touchdowns when the season ends. While this may not be as high as quarterbacks such as Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck, his statistics are nonetheless impressive while he can say that the Cowboys offense is flying because of him with a 10-4 record to boot. Granted, the offensive line has also done a great job, but Romo is showing that he can win with a sufficient supporting cast.
