2. The Seattle Seahawks are still the team to beat
The Seahawks finished their season with a six-game winning streak and a 12-4 record, which was good enough to clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Since the road to the Super Bowl goes through Seattle in the NFC, this makes the Seahawks the favorites to win it all. Their defense ranks first in scoring, total and pass defense. They continued this trend by holding the St. Louis Rams to six points in their regular-season finale. In their winning streak, the Seahawks held five of their six opponents to single-digit points.
Quarterback Russell Wilson and running back Marshawn Lynch also lead a solid offense. It’s likely that the Seahawks will have to face the Green Bay Packers or Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Championship barring a shocking upset in the Divisional Round. Both of these teams possess an elite offense, but they will be tested by a Seahawks defense that is firing on all cylinders.
