1. Aaron Rodgers is the 2014 NFL MVP
The Packers quarterback played like an MVP against a vaunted Detroit Lions defense, and he overcame a calf injury that took him out in the second quarter. Rodgers returned in the third quarter though, and he threw a touchdown pass before rushing for one to give the Packers a lead they would never lose. He threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns on 17-of-22 passing.
Coming back in triumphant fashion and going on to lead the Packers to their fourth consecutive NFC North title showed how valuable Rodgers is. The team looked doomed to blow their lead when Matt Flynn was in, but Rodgers showed up for the occasion. He finished the season with 38 touchdowns and five interceptions for a 112.2 passer rating while leading the Packers to a 12-4 record. The Packers enter the playoffs as Super Bowl favorites, and Rodgers is the primary reason for it.
