The weekend games of Week 9 of NFL games featured some exciting matchups along with blowouts, including one that was expected to be one of the most exciting games of the season.
The New England Patriots blew out the Denver Broncos, 43-21, and quarterback Tom Brady continued his hot streak as the Patriots won their fifth game in a row.
The Arizona Cardinals improved to 7-1 with a win over the Dallas Cowboys, who had to face life without starting quarterback Tony Romo. The Philadelphia Eagles overcame a clavicle injury to quarterback Nick Foles and defeated the Houston Texans, 31-21.
Here are five takeaways from Week 9 of NFL games.
5. The Arizona Cardinals are the best team in the NFC
The Cardinals are now 7-1, and they are arguably the best team in the NFL right now. They have continued to find ways to win games, and their only loss is to the Broncos. However, that was a blowout loss, and it’s difficult to make a case for the Cardinals over the Broncos and Patriots. They are definitely the best team in the NFC right now though, and their defense continues to be scary.
Quarterback Carson Palmer has held his own too, as he is doing a fantastic job at limiting the turnovers. This Cardinals team is well-coached, and Bruce Arians is the leading candidate for Coach of the Year honors.
