2. Julian Edelman is better than Wes Welker
While Welker did post monstrous numbers in his time in New England, he was never able to bring home a Super Bowl for the Patriots. Most notably, he dropped a key pass in Super Bowl 46 to stall momentum when the Patriots were hoping to beat the New York Giants.
Meanwhile, Edelman rose to the ultimate challenge of taking on the Legion of Boom and caught nine passes for 109 yards and a touchdown.
His numbers have been impressive as well in the past two seasons since taking over Welker’s role in the Patriots offense. He caught 105 passes in 2013 and caught 92 in 2014 despite Gronkowski being healthy for the entire season.
