4. The Arizona Cardinals are still contenders
Before the season, the Cardinals were seen as candidates to regress by many NFL analysts due to their tough schedule and division. However, they have started 2-0 to give them sole possession of first place in the NFC West. The Seahawks and 49ers both showed that they can be vulnerable, and the Cardinals defense is still as dominant as ever with linebackers Daryl Washington and Karlos Dansby gone.
What makes their start even more impressive is the fact that Drew Stanton started at quarterback in place of Carson Palmer in Week 2. If the Cardinals offense can continue to flourish with the plethora of weapons they have and the defense can continue shutting down opponents, they may be luckier this time and reach the playoffs after missing out with a 10-6 record in 2013.
