Week 3 of the NFL weekend has concluded. Some minor upsets took place, such as the Pittsburgh Steelers beating the Carolina Panthers 37-19.
The Arizona Cardinals improved to 3-0 with a 20-14 victory at home against the San Francisco 49ers.
Here are five takeaways from this weekend’s NFL games.
5. The Green Bay Packers defense is improving
The Packers have struggled defensively since 2010, which was when they won the Super Bowl. This year appeared to be no different as they allowed the Seattle Seahawks to score 36 points on them in the season opener. They also allowed the New York Jets to score 24 points. However, they adjusted in the second half and only allowed three points.
Despite their loss, they only allowed a high-octane Detroit Lions offense to score 10 points on them. Nine of those were from a lost fumble and safety. While the Packers have a lot of work to do on both sides of the ball, their defense may finally achieve the form Packers fans have been waiting to see.
