4. The Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals are legitimate Super Bowl contenders
None of these three teams would have immediately sprung to mind if someone was asked to name a Super Bowl contender, but they are the only remaining undefeated teams in the NFL. The Eagles offense has not lost a step in its second year with head coach Chip Kelly, and Nick Foles is looking as strong as ever. The Bengals defense has also stayed on form despite the loss of defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, allowing just 11 points per game, which is good for first in the NFL.
The Cardinals have also remained a beastly defensive team despite the losses of inside linebackers Karlos Dansby and Daryl Washington and season-ending injuries to outside linebacker John Abraham and defensive end Darnell Dockett. They rank seventh in total defense and second in scoring defense with 15 points allowed per game. The Cardinals have also managed to start 3-0 despite missing quarterback Carson Palmer for two games.
