3. The New Orleans Saints are a terrible road team
The Saints are now 1-3 after getting owned by the Dallas Cowboys on national television by a score of 38-17. The team is now 29th in total defense and tied for 27th in scoring defense with 27.5 points allowed per game. Having a prolific offense led by quarterback Drew Brees still isn’t enough for the Saints to overcome their defensive woes, which are inexplicable considering they finished in the top five last season.
The Saints are now 0-3 on the road for this season, but luckily for them, they are only one game out of the lead for the NFC South. This is currently held by the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons. If defensive coordinator Rob Ryan can figure out what’s wrong with the defense, the Saints can return to being a contender again. However, they will need to be less dependent on their dome advantage at home.
