2. Teddy Bridgewater is the future in Minnesota
The Minnesota Vikings lost quarterback Matt Cassel for the season with a foot injury, so Bridgewater got his chance to shine for the Vikings and did exactly that by leading his team to a 41-27 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The rookie quarterback threw for 317 yards, but this impressive debut wasn’t without an obstacle for the Vikings.
Bridgewater was taken out of the game in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury. However, the MRI came back negative, and the Vikings are hopeful that Bridgewater can play in Week 5 despite the game being on Thursday. Regardless of whether Bridgewater comes back this week or next week, it’s now clear that he is the real deal and gives the Vikings their best quarterback since Brett Favre.
