As we enter the stretch to the business end of the NBA season, what can we expect?
5. San Antonio Spurs to secure the best regular-season record
The San Antonio Spurs lead the way in the Western Conference, with an incredible 41-12 record. Coach Gregg Popovich has overseen a typically impressive season, with his reliable stars continuing to produce as they dominate the West.
What makes their season even more remarkable to date, is that the Spurs have maintained their winning ways despite missing key players over prolonged periods of time.
Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker have all been sidelined, at times all at once, and yet the Spurs have found a way to win in their absence with the likes of Kawhi Leonard stepping up to deliver.
The regular season is just the warm-up for San Antonio, but they will hope to go one better than last year by reaching the Finals.
While they will potentially have to face the Oklahoma City Thunder again to determine who the best in the West is, expect them to finish with the best regular season record and Parker to be leading the way.
