1. Miami Heat’s tough road to the Finals
Despite another potential MVP season from LeBron James, expect the Miami Heat to have a tough path to the NBA Finals this year.
The Heat have looked dominant in recent weeks, with a seven-game winning streak leading them to the top of the Eastern Conference at 36-14 ahead of the New York Knicks.
However, generally speaking they have struggled against other sides in the East so far this season, reflected in their 16-9 conference record, and notably against the Knicks, Chicago Bulls and the Indiana Pacers.
While they still possess arguably the best roster in the association, there are signs that they will face a gruelling battle in order to make back to the Finals this year to defend their crown.
James will undoubtedly continue to post up big numbers and they will produce when it matters, but it wouldn’t come as a huge shock if they were pushed all the way by their conference rivals resulting with an early end to their season.
