4) Gunners already out of title race

Already nine points behind leaders Chelsea, Arsenal are surely out of the Premier League title race already this season. The Gunners’ awful record in the big games does not look like changing any time soon, and there’s no real suggestion that this team is any stronger despite some exciting signings during the summer. The inconsistent form of their rivals Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur means a top four place should still be achievable, but their long run without a title victory looks set to continue after a highly disappointing start to the campaign, their worst since 2011/12.
