1. Wayne Rooney still adjusting and needs more support
Rooney has been made the focal point of the United attack this season, but his ability to link up with the likes of Depay, Ashley Young and Juan Mata needs to improve.
The England international struggled to involve himself at times and came deep to get the ball. As a result, it could be something that Van Gaal looks at to alternate his players more and give Rooney a bit more freedom.
