3. Ladarius Green, Chargers
Green slowly became a bigger part of the Chargers offense, and he caught three touchdown passes in his final six games. Antonio Gates is aging, so his role in the offense will inevitably continue to decline. Gates never received more than six targets in his final four games. Wide receiver Keenan Allen will also draw more attention from defenses, so this will allow Green to draw single coverage.
2. Zach Ertz, Eagles
Another former Stanford tight end makes the list. Ertz became a bigger red-zone threat as his rookie season went on, as demonstrated by catching three touchdowns in the last five games of the regular season. He also caught the go-ahead touchdown in the Eagles’ playoff game against the Saints. With the wide receivers drawing most of the attention, Ertz is bound to receive more targets. Foles developed great chemistry with the tight end after Michael Vick was benched, and their chemistry should continue into Ertz’s second year.
