We look at five players that could star at this summer’s World Cup and then move to England’s Premier League.
The greatest show on earth gets under way in Brazil on June 12, as the World Cup returns to television screens all around the globe.
Some of the world’s best players will, naturally, grace the grandest stage of all.
Here, we look at five of those players that could be heading for the Premier League before the start of next season.
Mario Mandzukic – Croatia (linked with Arsenal)
The 27-year-old signed a four-year contract at Bayern Munich when he joined the Bundesliga giants from Wolfsburg in June 2012.
However, he looks likely to leave Bavaria this summer, with Bayern’s capture of Borussia Dortmund frontman Robert Lewandowski expected to push him too far down the pecking order at the Allianz Arena.
Mandzukic is still world class, though, and he scored 18 league goals this season, despite starting just 21 games.
