Boxing star pours water on news he backed the wrong team in the Super Bowl.
Turns out Floyd Mayweather knows how to gamble responsibly, that or he just does not want to own up losing the gross domestic product of a small country on the Super Bowl this season.
Reports surfaced the multi-time boxing champion bet $10.4 million on the Denver Broncos to beat the Seattle Seahawks at Metlife Stadium in Super Bowl XLVIII.
With the game all but over at half-time, with the Broncos losing 22-0, social media lit up, taking aim at Mayweather for blowing so much money in a bet.
However, either the rumour was a clever ruse to keep his name in the spotlight or merely an exaggeration, Mayweather took to his offcial Instagram account to say he did not bet on the game, and if he did, he would have backed the Seahawks.
Sounds bit like he is trying to cover his tracks, as Mayweather has a long history of large bets on sporting event of all backgrounds.
