Roy Hodgson: ‘Retirement is retirement.’
England manager Roy Hodgson has ruled out recalling Chelsea’s in form centre-back John Terry to the England squad, reports the Telegraph.
Here’s how football fans reacted on Twitter to the news…
I still can’t believe the English FA chose Roy Hodgson over Harry Redknap.

Roy Hodgson is an absolute nugget if he doesn’t recall Terry, he may be scum but he’s much better that players like Smalling

Them ones where Roy Hodgson won’t swallow his pride and take one of the best centre backs in the country to the world cup.. Nice one Royston

Retirement is retirement, says Roy Hodgson. Unless you’re Ben Foster, of course. A weird point he continually forgets.

Roy Hodgson ruling out a John Terry England return rules out any success also

So Roy Hodgson has advised England’s best defender is not going to the World Cup? Sure you still got, er… Smalling and Lescott #JohnTerry

Roy hodgson not picking john terry is a joke, he’s streets ahead of any other english centre back.
