Debuting at just 17-years-old the striker went onto have success with both Tottenham Hotspur and the England national team, but it all started in west London.
9. Ron “Chopper” Harris
Playing for the Blues for nearly 20 years Harris was regarded as one of the toughest footballers in English history, helping the club win the FA Cup and the European Cup Winners’ Cup.
8. John Terry
A youth player that came good in a period when the club were famed for buying in foreign talent, winning three Premier League titles and the Champions League as captain to date.
7. Kerry Dixon
A prolific forward that spent nine years with the Londoners right up until the Premier League began in 1992, scoring nearly 150 goals in that time.
6. Dennis Wise
A battling midfielder purchased from Wimbledon in 1990, Wise went onto spend over a decade at the Bridge and won the FA Cup and the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup.
5. Bobby Tambling
A consistent performer and until very recently the club’s top-scorer in history, replacing Greaves when the striker was sold to AC Milan.
4. Didier Drogba
The Ivory Coast international earned legendary status by scoring the equaliser and then the winning penalty against Bayern Munich in the 2012 Champions League final.
3. Peter Osgood
Spent 10 years with Chelsea during the 1960s and early 70s and later returned for a brief spell at the end of the attacker’s career and was also part of the FA Cup and European Cup Winners’ Cup team.
2. Gianfranco Zola
The popular Italian that brought a new sense of creativity and flair to the side and was also one of the first foreign stars to truly excel in the Premier League.
1. Frank Lampard
Arrived in 2001 from West Ham United and has since gone onto win every trophy possible with the Blues and is also their top-scorer of all time.
