Harry Redknapp – Tottenham Hotspur (2008-2012)
Consider the state of things at White Hart Lane when Redknapp took over at Spurs; the north London side were languishing in the relegations zone after taking just two points from there opening eight games.
His penchant for a signing aside, Redknapp was the first manager to discover the talents of a certain Gareth Bale and used his nouse to lift Spurs for the first time into the Premier League top four and thus Champions League, falling just short of a semi-final birth after losing to Real Madrid over two-legs.
Cruelly, Spurs had technically qualified for the competition in 2012 only to be denied a spot after Chelsea dramatically won the competition and claimed the last spot ahead of the north Londoners.
Spurs are yet to reach the same heights without him.
