Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has heaped praise on the welcome that he has received at his new club, after putting in a man of the match performance for the Blues as they won their opening Premier League match 3-1 at Burnley.
Fabregas put in what is likely to be one of the assists of the season for Andre Schurrle’s goal, which put Chelsea ahead after they had fallen behind to an early Scott Arfield goal, playing an inch-perfect first time pass into the path of the German international.
The Spaniard was given the man of the match award and, despite his move to Chelsea this summer being a controversial one due to his history with London rivals Arsenal, he suggested that playing for Jose Mourinho and the Blues is easy:
“Everyone has treated me very well and I’m enjoying it here. Everyone has made it so easy for me, the staff, the players.”
