Former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song is reportedly putting a proposed move to AC Milan on hold with the hope of signing for Liverpool instead, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Cameroon international has been linked with a whole host of top clubs this summer after struggling for regular football at Barcelona since his move to the club in 2012.
Arsenal had been linked with a move to bring Song back to the Emirates Stadium, though it looks at the moment as though he will either make the move to Anfield or to the San Siro.
Liverpool hope he will choose a return to the Premier League as they look to sign one more midfielder before the summer transfer window closes.
Milan, meanwhile, are also close to sealing a move to sign Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.
