Former Arsenal star Gervinho has denied that he requested a private beach and helicopter among other things in order to sign a deal to join Al Jazira.

Reports emerged earlier this week that the Roma forward had asked for the sweeteners to be included in the deal, with the club later slamming him for his “obscene demands”.
Having been on the verge of securing a move, it remains to be seen whether or not a deal can be rescued as the Ivory Coast international is adamant that he didn’t ask for the things that were reported.
“Helicopters, beaches, plane tickets? I don’t know where some information comes from,” he told France Football, as reported by Football Italia.
“I did not make any such request. When I sign a contract, I’m not interested in such things. Everything that was said about me was false.”
Given his success under Rudi Garcia in the Italian capital, it is somewhat of a surprise that he is ready to quit Europe so soon, although the financial incentives on offer will certainly have been a factor.
It is unclear at this stage as to whether negotiations are on-going, but Gervinho may well be a victim of the media’s false reports if what he says about not making those demands is true.
