The Moroccan left the Emirates Stadium for Crystal Palace last summer after an unhappy spell in North London but revealed he still looks out for the Gunners’ fortunes.
Palace beat Everton 3-2 midweek to all but confirm their Premier League safety and dent the Toffees’ hopes of pipping Arsenal to fourth place.
Chamakh has revealed the win was important for his current club but said he was pleased to be able to help Arsenal’s cause.
“I want to see Arsenal in the Champions League next season, it was important for us to win and for Arsenal too,’ Chamakh told the Sevenoaks Chronicle.
