Leicester City have reportedly enquired over the loan availability of Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu.
Romeu joined the Premier League champions from Barcelona in 2011, but has yet to play under Jose Mourinho, having spent the last two seasons with Valencia and Stuttgart respectively.
He does not appear to have much of a future at the Blues, and the Daily Mail suggests that Leicester, now managed by former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri, will offer him a new home.
Romeu is keen to establish himself at a club and the Foxes, looking for a new defensive midfielder after the departure of Estebian Cambiasso, will look to make the deal permanent next summer.
The 23-year-old signed a new contract at Chelsea before last season, but the emergence of Ruben Loftus-Cheek has seen him fall further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
Romeu has made 33 appearances for the Blues in all competitions. He featured 27 times in the Bundesliga for Stuttgart last term and played 13 times for Valencia the year before that.
