The Italian outfit are hoping to sign the striker for €5m according to Il Tempo, as reported by Football Italia, with Borini’s agent revealing that he doesn’t intend on signing a new deal with the Merseysiders.
Marco De Marchi, his agent, has already met with Lazio and it is reported that there is a great deal of optimism over a deal being concluded.
Although the Biancocelesti will not go over €5m, they are confident that it will be enough to convince Liverpool to part company with the striker after he has failed to impress in his time at Anfield.
Lazio will participate in the Champions League next season, and they are in the process of strengthening their squad in order to cope with the added stress of the schedule.
Whether or not Borini is the striker to help provide them with key goals next season remains to be seen, but Brendan Rodgers may well be ready to part company with him to free up space in his squad.
