Former Chelsea star forward Didier Drogba revealed that he intends to continue his career and is talking to an unidentified Major League Soccer squad, according to Sporting News.
However, it has been reported that the Chicago Fire are going to be Drogba’s next destination.
Inter Milan are rumoured to be a possible landing spot for Drogba too. He denied this connection though.
“I’m not aware of that situation (with Inter). Inter are a great club, and certainly if they were to contact me I’d gladly listen to their offer, but I’m currently in talks with an MLS club,” Drogba said.
After an eight-year stint with Chelsea, the Ivorian international returned to Stamford Bridge three years later for one more season with the Blues.
It was a successful return, as Drogba helped lead Chelsea to the 2014-15 Premier League title.
The 37-year-old striker scored 164 goals throughout his entire Chelsea career, including 29 in the 2009-10 season.
He also previously helped the Blues win three Premier League titles prior to last season’s.
Chelsea also won the 2012 UEFA Champions League title, which marked the end of Drogba’s first stint at Stamford Bridge.
Fellow Chelsea legend Frank Lampard recently joined New York City FC.
