Eto’o to turn down Liverpool for the Gunners.

Despite having been in talks with Ajax and Liverpool, former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o wants to join Arsenal this summer, according to the Sun.
The 33-year-old has been strongly linked with the Reds since leaving Stamford Bridge after just one season, but it looks as if their pursuit might be in vain.
That is because Eto’o wants to work under manager Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium after his dissatisfying stint with the Blues.
Wenger had previously shown interest in signing the Cameroon international, but that waned after securing Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona in a £35m deal.
However, despite the arrival of the Chile international the North Londoners still only have Olivier Giroud and Yaya Sanogo as recognised strikers in their squad.
Brendan Rodgers was keeping tabs on Eto’o as he looks to fill the void created by the £75m departure of Luis Suarez to Barca this summer.
The African scored 12 goals for Jose Mourinho’s side in 2013/14, but fell out with the 51-year-old towards the end of his time in West London and things were left on a somewhat sour note as a result.
