Ba is expecting Marin to join him at Besiktas.
Having departed Chelsea for Besiktas this summer striker Demba Ba has now claimed that Marko Marin wants to follow him to Turkey.
Ba completed a permanent transfer to the club this summer, whilst the deal for Marin would be yet another loan spell for the German.
“Marin called me after my transfer to Besiktas,” the Senegal international was quoted by the Metro.
“He told me Besiktas were also interested in him and that he would like to play alongside me. Chelsea are probably going to loan him out again, so this is definitely something that could happen.
“It would be an advantage for me as we have trained together and would help the settling in process.”
Marin joined the Blues in the summer of 2012 from Werder Bremen and spent last season on-loan with Sevilla in La Liga.
The 25-year-old’s career appears to have gone a little stale at Stamford Bridge however and despite having 16 caps for Germany has also only played 16 times in total for the West Londoners.
Marin would become the seventh player to be sent out on-loan by manager Jose Mourinho this summer, along with Wallace, Bertrand Traore (both Vitesse Arnhem), Thorgan Hazard (Borussia Monchengladbach), Tomas Kalas (Cologne), Mario Pasalic (Elche) and Lucas Piazon (Eintracht Frankfurt).
