Galatasaray star confident Turks can beat Los Merengues.
Former Chelsea star Didier Drogba believes current club Galatasaray can upset Real Madrid in Tuesday’s Champions League clash.
The Turkish champions host the Spaniards in the opening round of group stage matches looking to avenge their defeat in last season’s quarter-final.
Real are desperately seeking ‘La Decima’ – their tenth European Cup success – but Drogba, 35, is confident Gala have enough to beat the La Liga giants.
“Despite losing we beat them in the home leg,” Drogba reminded reporters at Monday evening’s Press conference.
“Tomorrow, I hope we will repeat this, because we have enough power to beat Real Madrid.
“If someone says to me that Galatasaray will win the Champions League but you could not score any goals, I would accept it immediately.
“Because the most important thing is the success of the team. Goals are only meaningful when your team win the match or qualify to next round.”
